The Low End Theory is a new soul/jazz group based out of Calgary. The groups sound is heavily influenced by Jimmy Smith, The Meters, "Boogaloo" Joe Jones, Freddie Hubbard, and James Brown just to name a few. The members of the band are Aaron Scholpp on the Fender Bass, Steve Fletcher on the Hammond organ, Matt Doherty on drums, and Carl Janzen on guitar.
